The Italian Kitchen Awarded AA Rosette For Culinary Excellence

The Italian Kitchen at Clayton Hotel Dublin Airport is delighted to have been awarded the prestigious AA Rosette Award in recognition of their Culinary Excellence.

The Italian Kitchen offers an authentic Italian dining experience in a relaxing and elegant atmosphere.

The AA Rosette Awards

The AA has been awarding Rosettes to restaurants since 1956, and it is one of the most prestigious and trusted awards in the industry.

In order to achieve one AA Rosette, chefs need to display food prepared with care. They need to display understanding and skill, using fine and fresh ingredients.

An AA Rosette mainly recognises the quality of the food. However,  AA inspectors also take into consideration the quality of service received and the décor of the restaurant.

Commenting on awarding the restaurant an AA Rosette, the AA’s inspectors said;

 “By sourcing so many of the ingredients from artisanal producers in Italy and accurate cooking of well tested dishes, the team of chefs at the Italian Kitchen creates an authentic Trattoria dining experience.

“Everything offered here is of the highest quality. While pizzas form a part of the offering, they are of a high-standard and made with Italian wheat in a traditional wood-fired oven. A range of interesting, authentic combinations are on offer to diners, but certainly there is no fear of pineapple appearing anywhere on your pizza.”

The Italian Kitchen

The Italian Kitchen was established in November 2017 and quickly became a firm favourite with hotel guests and local residents.

Our aim is to provide our guests with an authentic Italian dining experience using the best ingredients. The secret to the authentic flavours and aromas in The Italian Kitchen is Head Chef’s insistence on genuine Italian ingredients and fresh local produce.

All of the ingredients used in our kitchen from our flour, olive oil, cheese, tomatoes, wine and others are sourced on our behalf by Italicatessen. We work with them to decide which regional variations to choose, which producer,which wines and which vintage. Some of our ingredients such as meats, freshly caught seafood and fruit are sourced locally in Ireland.

Our menus are a tour of culinary Italy, taking in several classic regional dishes and some less well-known specialities. We specialise in wood-fired pizzas, traditional pasta, seafood dishes and homemade desserts.

Our menu continues to evolve but the focus has always been on authentic Italian ingredients. We are inspired by Italian cuisine and cooking and seek to be authentic in everything we do.

Many restaurants know how to provide a welcome. But we know how to make people feel special, how to ensure that our guests’ experience is beyond expectations. We know the story behind each dish and its taste.

The Italian Kitchen goes straight to the heart of Italian dining experiences by focusing on ingredients, recipes, atmosphere and hospitality.
